How much does it cost to get groceries delivered to Disney World?

The cost of grocery delivery to Disney World will depend on the store as well as your order value and how far in advance you place the grocery order. We recommend doing it at least 2 days in advance of your desired delivery date. This is because many Orlando grocery stores have a surcharge of up to $20 for same-day and next-day grocery delivery. Here are some guidelines on how much it costs to get groceries delivered to Disney World.

Instacart

This is a service that allows you to shop from multiple stores in one order. Meaning, you can add items from Publix, Aldi, Costco, The Fresh Market, Total Wine, 7 Eleven, CVS, Best Buy, and others to your Instacart using the app or website. Grocery deliveries are generally pretty quick with Instacart. You can get same-day delivery in as little as one hour. Delivery fees start at $3.99 for same-day delivery of orders valued at $35 and over. The fees may be higher for one-hour deliveries or orders under $35. Your location and the type and number of items in your cart may also affect delivery fees. Tipping your personal shopper is optional but recommended. If you sign up for Instacart Express, you get $0 delivery fee on every order over $35. Deliveries start at around 9 am and run until midnight, but depend on store operating hours.

Garden Grocer

There is a minimum order value of $40 at Garden Grocer. If your order is under $200, there’s a $14 delivery fee. This delivery fee is waived on orders over $200. Same-day deliveries for orders placed before 10 am cost an additional $30 in delivery charges with Garden Grocer. Next-day grocery delivery in Orlando by Garden Grocer costs an extra $20. There are promotions for ordering early (15, 30, 60, 90, and even 120 days in advance), so the sooner you get that grocery list made and ordered, the better. You can choose a time slot for delivery between 8 am to 12 pm, 12 pm to 4 pm, and 4 pm to 9 pm. Keep in mind that some Disney hotels such as the BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and campgrounds only accept deliveries after 4 pm.

Amazon Prime Now

Most people have an Amazon account already, so this is the simplest way to order groceries for delivery to Disney World. There’s a vast array of grocery items available for quick-ish delivery. You might, however, need to show an ID if you’ve having alcoholic beverages delivered. You can start putting your cart together before your Disney vacation and hit order once you land in Orlando. Orders over $35 are generally delivered free of cost for two-hour delivery windows or longer. If you choose 1-hour grocery delivery from Amazon, you might pay a $5 fee. To check delivery prices, you might need to enter the ZIP code (it’s 32830 for Disney World).

Other Options for Grocery Delivery at Walt Disney World

Although we haven’t tried them ourselves, other options for grocery delivery at Disney World include Walmart, Orlando Grocery Express, and Dizzy Dolphin Delivery. Prices hover around $14 per delivery for orders under $200-$250 and free above this value. Many of these services require grocery orders to be placed in advance and delivery windows fill up fast. Also, some of them don’t allow cancellations or changes to your grocery order once you’re within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery window.

Dizzy Dolphin might be worth a try if you want delivery of specialty items such as vegan, gluten-free, or kosher items. Or sweet treats from a popular local donut shop. Keep in mind that while reviews on their services are generally positive, they do end up being more expensive than things like Instacart and Amazon.

We can personally vouch for Instacart because we use it all the time to have groceries delivered to Disney World. Whether you’re a planner who has their grocery list all done weeks in advance, or you need items delivered within a couple of hours – ordering groceries during your next Disney Resort stay will save you both time and money.
